SteelTech, Inc. was founded, incorporated, and began construction in Hawaii in 1977. Its primary business focused on projects with pre-engineered steel buildings as the primary structure, and worked with those project clients as their general contractor. SteelTech’s name is a reflection of its commitment and experience to promote conventional and preengineered steel structures within the Hawaii construction industry.
Val Peroff, the owner and president of SteelTech, Inc. brought nearly 2 decades of construction experience to his fledgling company and expanded upon his knowledge and experience as a contractor, steel supplier, fabricator, and erector to build one of Hawaii’s most experienced steel and concrete construction companies.
During the 1980’s, SteelTech became Hawaii’s leader in concrete tilt-up construction and has since constructed more concrete tilt-up structures in Hawaii than all other Hawaii contractors combined.
The concrete and construction industry in Hawaii has benefited from tilt-up design and construction for its economic value on larger projects where real estate and construction costs are critical to the success of its developers and subsequent users. Tilt-Up has proven to be successful for its economic value where labor savings and faster completion schedules are realized when tilt-up is used.
SteelTech, Inc. has provided numerous successful commercial and industrial projects in Hawaii utilizing steel, concrete, and masonry resources and abilities to construct warehouses, offices, educational, military, law enforcement, food and beverage, low rise housing, and manufacturing facilities.
SteelTech, Inc. has developed numerous affiliations with engineers and designers to work with clients to provide design-build turn key construction. This ability has proven to be economical for the client whereas the client achieves cost budgets and project schedules at an early stage which can be modified to best fit his needs before major commitments are confirmed.
SteelTech, Inc. utilizes its own labor forces for concrete foundations, slabs, concrete tilt-up, masonry, pre-engineered steel, and conventional steel work.
